Our virtual 9M whare

Wednesday the 4th of September Whaea Kerry, Whaea Monika and Tara came to Bay of Islands College from the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. They came to school with their equipment to help us finish our  Heritage posters. Using the virtual world programme Whaea Kerry was starting to make our Marae to represent the people in our class. Some of the things we made were Pou and our Pepeha, once we were finished a few people got jobs to make trees, decks and Taumata along with other things that are found on the Marae.

I thought the day was very interesting, and a great help to us for getting our posters finished.

  1. Kia Ora Jadin, thanks for sharing your work. It was great to be able to visit the 9M class at BOIC. I really liked seeing your heritage posters and the work your class were doing and love how it all came together in the virtual whare. Ngā mihi, Tara
