In social studies, it was required that we write a post on a leader of our choice, this leader could be someone famous, a president, family or a friend. It had to be someone that inspires us.
For my leader i decided to choose my brother. Wiremu is a leader and role model in many different ways. He has empathy, courage, strength, optimism, hope, is trustworthy and will never judge. A leader is someone who will step back and look at something from everyone's point of view.
They don't judge from a one sided story. Woody is the support beam in my family, he is there to have a good chat, rant with and will listen and help.
Wiremu has taught me that people make mistakes, the thing is everybody makes mistakes, it is how you go about your way after making that mistake.
Once is an accident, twice is a warning and the third time is when you know it becomes a pattern. Leaders aren't always well known or famous.
Leaders are people who lead by example, they are role models. They can be friends, aunties, uncles, siblings, parents, grandparents. Leaders are people who are true and honest, they aren't perfect but they try their best in every way possible. They are someone who inspires you or you admire.
